life is full of cliches and run on sentences. you might as well be happy about it. -Me
This picture was taken of me on a beach near Monterey, California. There were tsunami warnings posted all over that day, but there was this rainbow in the sky. If you look closely at the photo, you can see it. I love to travel, and so far, Northern California has been my favorite destination.
Charlotte, NC is where I call home. I've worked in higher education in some way or another for nearly a decade. I've taught English courses, worked in Financial Aid offices, and for the office of the Registrar.
I have a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte, and a Bachelors in English-Professional Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
My love of writing began when I was in the fifth grade when my teacher was impressed by the story I wrote about my pet cat. She encouraged me to write in a hard-bound book she gave me. I was so excited that I filled it up within a day and gave it back to her, along with pencil illustrations, of course. She took it and smiled. In my fifth grade mind I barely registered that she may have wanted me to work on it more carefully all semester long... Eager is good, right?
I found what I loved to do at an early age.
Now, if only they paid you to do what you loved in this world...
